Acer Ferrari 4000 review from Laptop Logic

"Avid gamers will be satisfied with the performance from the mid-range ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700 graphics with 128MB DDR VRAM. Although the Ferrari 4000 possesses some characteristics of a desktop alternative, it measures only 1.2 inches thin and weighs 6.3 pounds with its 8-cell battery. While not the most ideal computer for intensive travel, it's still a well-balanced machine suited for moderate portability and is actually more portable than other notebooks in the same class."

Acer Ferrari 4000 review from Pocket Lint

"In terms of specification, Acer has gone out to produce a machine that is powerful on the inside as it looks on the outside. Based around the AMD 2GHz Turion 64 ML-37 processor and supported by 1024MB DDR SDRAM, there is little to complain about in terms of performance. In use, we found that it could readily handle anything we threw at it, from editing video, to running the latest games."

Acer Ferrari 4000 review from CNET Reviews

"Forgoing the typical dull silver, putty-gray, or black plastic case, the Acer Ferrari 4000 will turn heads with a matte black carbon-fiber case, a prominent rearing Ferrari stallion logo, and accents of race-car red. Looks aren't the only similarity between the laptop and the Ferrari sports car, however: at $2,199 (as of August 2005), the Ferrari 4000 costs several hundred dollars more than the competition. Still, if you have the need for speed, the Ferrari 4000 will leave lesser notebooks in the dust--and look great doing it."
